DO STYLES OR DIMENSIONS CHANGE?

Styles and dimensions have been very consistent over the years.  However, either can change.  Keep this in mind if you think you need additional chairs in the future.

WHERE MANUFACTURED: 

The component parts are made in Europe, then assembled and finished in Inkster, Michigan.  Maple and Beech tables are made in the USA.

OUR TERMS:

We accept American Express, Visa, Master Card, Discover, Money Orders and Cashier’s Checks (in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank only).

To place an order with a money order or cashier’s check please print your shopping cart order and mail it with your payment to: HARDWOOD SEATING  P.O. Box 896  South Lyon  MI  48178.

Commercial orders may be paid by a business check. To do so just send your completed order form (printed from our website) along with your business check to our company address.


You may also place your order via phone and mail your business check, money order or cashiers check separately.

SALES TAX:

Items shipped to all Michigan destinations are subject to an 6% sales tax.

AVAILABILITY OF STOCK:

All unfinished in stock items are usually shipped within 7 days of your order. Hardwood Seating does not guarantee availability of all items shown on this website. Certain items may be discontinued by our manufacturers without notice.  We try to keep our website as current as possible.

Our commercial chairs are not factory finished, they are custom finished to order, so they will require some additional handling time. Please allow two to four weeks from the date of your order for shipping.

SHIPPING:

We ship via selected truck carriers direct to your home or business in the continental U.S.  Delivery is to your door but not inside your home or business unless other arrangements are made in advance.  For high rise buildings, the delivery will be made to the freight area.  Please provide us with your cell and home phone numbers so that the trucking company can set up a convenient delivery date and time.  If you make an appointment for a specific day and time and are not there to accept and inspect the freight, a redelivery fee will apply.

FREIGHT DAMAGE:

All merchandise should be inspected upon arrival.  It is the trucking company’s responsibility for safe delivery of your goods. Although we use superior packaging and make every effort to insure your shipment reaches you in good condition, freight damage can occur.  When accepting delivery, please inspect every chair.  If damage occurred, just note it on the delivery receipt and refuse the damaged item. If you sign the delivery receipt without inspecting the shipment and the driver leaves, any claims resulting from freight damage will be declined.

WHAT IS NOT CONSIDERED FREIGHT DAMAGE: A few small scuffs and dents are not considered freight damage, as they can easily be sanded out of the unfinished wood prior to finishing.  Small cracks can simply be filled with appropriate wood fill.

RETURNS:

No merchandise can be returned without prior authorization from Hardwood Seating.

How to return an item:

  1. Put product back in original boxes with original packing material.
  2. Call us within 7 days of receipt to arrange for a truck pick up.

Upon receipt and inspection of the returned items, you will receive a credit to your original method of payment less the shipping cost back to our warehouse.

Returns of Custom Finish Commercial seating:
Custom finish returns will be subject to a restocking fee of 15%.

LIMITED WARRANTY-RESIDENTIAL: 

We warrant our product construction from defect in workmanship under normal use for one year from the date of purchase.  This warranty does not apply to damage from neglect, accidental or intentional damage or exposure to extremes in temperature or humidity.  Unfinished items must be finished upon receipt to help prevent expansion and contraction of wood seats.  If repairs or replacements are necessary, the purchaser must send back the chair to us at their expense and we will repair or replace the chair (or one of equal type and quality if a replacement is not available) and ship it back to you at our expense.  Liability for consequential property or commercial damages is expressly excluded by this warranty.

LIMITED WARRANTY-COMMERCIAL: 

Those items deemed suitable for commercial use are warranted for 1 year under the above Limited Warranty conditions.
